That’s a valid question. If this thing turns out to be true (and Jon Stewart swears that Wiener’s cock isn’t that big), it would be irrelevant whether or not the guy involved is a conservative Republican. What I’d find interesting is whether or not Anthony Wiener made dictating personal morality a part of his election campaign. As far as I am aware, he did not. If he did, then I’m all in favour of nailing him to the cross he made for himself. Otherwise, it’s just not an interesting story.

In England, a man called Peter Tatchell attracted all sorts of press unpleasantness for outing various British MPs as homosexuals against their wishes, often before they had an opportunity to tell their families. This was seen as a gross violation of privacy, and I can understand that. But he ONLY outed those MPs who specifically took part in advancing anti-gay legislation.

So, you know, fuck ‘em.
